## @TheDebriefing17 (TheDebriefing17) · 09-28 13:57 · ♥338 ↻142 💬11 🤔The Senate just figured out what we've been tracking for a year.
Iran is using Tether to bypass sanctions. The Wall Street Journal is reporting it like it's breaking news. It's not. We watched it happen in real time.
Here's what we saw.
When the pressure on Iran increased the war talk, the carrier groups, the Hormuz disruption the network didn't go quiet. It got louder. The money had to move faster. Through fewer channels. Under more stress. And when money moves faster through fewer channels, it becomes visible.
Blockchain is a public ledger. Every transaction is recorded. Every wallet has a history. When a network that was moving money slowly through dozens of corridors gets squeezed into a handful of crypto wallets, those wallets light up. The volume spikes. The patterns emerge. The analytics firms see it. The enforcement agencies see it.
That's what happened.
In July, when Treasury designated Iran's digital asset sector for the first time, the OFAC filing listed three specific Tron blockchain wallet addresses belonging to the Central Bank of Iran. Not "crypto generally." Three specific wallets on a specific chain. They already knew.
In August, Operation Economic Outcast launched the largest Iran sanctions package in history. Eight phases in 25 days. One of those phases targeted Babak Zanjani's BitBank exchange, which had transferred hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin directly to the Revolutionary Guard between June and July. They watched the money move. Then they designated the exchange.
In September, DOJ filed a seizure warrant for $61 million in USDT on Binance Iranian oil revenues converted to Tether and processed through exchange accounts. They traced the oil money into the crypto. Then they seized it.
The same month, Tether disclosed it has frozen more than $5 billion across 2,800 law enforcement cases in 67 countries. The freeze switch works. The question was never whether Tether could freeze wallets. The question was whether the enforcement architecture could identify which wallets to freeze.
The pressure answered that question.
When you stress a network, you don't destroy it immediately. You force it to adapt. And adapting means changing behavior moving money through new channels, consolidating into fewer wallets, increasing transaction sizes, shifting from banking to crypto because the banking corridors have been severed.
Every adaptation leaves a trace. Every new channel is a new data point. Every consolidation makes the remaining wallets easier to spot. Every shift from banking to crypto moves the money onto a public ledger where blockchain analytics firms and federal agencies can watch it move in real time.
The enforcement architecture didn't just sanction Iran. It stressed Iran's financial network until the network revealed itself.
Bank Mellat 44 years in Turkey revoked. Golden Global Bank designated for converting oil money to gold. Banque Misr cut from the dollar for $1.8 billion in shadow banking. VTB Bank designated under Iran authorities. Every airline grounded. Hezbollah's financial networks designated three layers deep. The gold-hawala-Dubai corridor mapped.
Each time a banking corridor was severed, the money had to find a new route. Some of it went to crypto. And crypto is a public ledger.
The Senate investigation is confirming what the blockchain already showed. Iran used USDT to move money because every other option was being shut down. The enforcement architecture closed the banking doors one by one until the only door left was the one with a camera on it.
Now the Senate is looking at the footage.
We've been watching it for a year.

1. Iran just gave us a live demo of glass rails at sovereign scale. Within hours of the US-Israeli airstrikes on Feb 28, on-chain data shows $10.3M in crypto outflows blasting out of major Iranian exchanges. Chainalysis published the charts today.
2. This isn’t a random crypto wobble. It’s the financial behavior of a sanctioned state under simultaneous: – Shadow-fleet sanctions – Swiss private-bank cutoff – Digital-asset exchange designations – And kinetic strikes.
3. Timeline: – Jan 30: OFAC sanctions IRGC-linked exchanges Zedcex & Zedxion – first-ever digital-asset exchanges designated for operating in Iran’s financial sector. – Feb 25: Treasury hits Iran’s “shadow fleet” tankers + weapons networks. – Feb 26–27: FinCEN drops a §311 hammer on Swiss bank MBaer for laundering IRGC & Russian cash; FINMA moves to liquidate it.
4. Those actions close the exits: – Oil money via shadow tankers – Private-bank channels in Zurich – IRGC-linked offshore exchanges Then on Feb 28, the airstrikes hit. Now watch what the money does.
5. Chainalysis shows hourly outflows from Iranian exchanges jumping to ~$2M/hr, totaling $10.3M by March 2 – well above normal. They suggest three overlapping behaviors: – Citizens moving to self-custody – Exchanges cycling funds to new wallets – State / IRGC actors using exchanges as conduits.
6. Zoom out. Iran’s crypto ecosystem was ≈$7.8B in 2025 and already on edge: – Prior protest waves saw BTC withdrawals spike into self-custody… – …until Tehran pulled the plug with internet blackouts, which flattened outflows until connectivity came back. When they flip the internet, they flip the rails.
7. And Nobitex – Iran’s largest exchange – was already hit in 2025. – $90M exploited – Claimed by pro-Israel group “Gonjeshke Darande” – Attacker wallets were burn addresses – no private keys, funds effectively destroyed.
That’s not theft. That’s geopolitical sabotage of Iran’s main crypto hub.
8. Put it together: – Jan: First-ever Iran-linked crypto exchanges sanctioned. – Feb 25: Shadow fleet sanctioned. – Feb 26–27: Swiss IRGC conduit (MBaer) cut and put into liquidation. – Feb 28: Airstrikes. – Feb 28–Mar 2: Crypto outflows explode from Iranian exchanges. – Mar 3: Chainalysis publishes the behavior in public.
9. That’s the lattice degradation pattern we’ve been mapping for cartels and crime networks – now applied to a nation-state: – Banking rail closed – Shadow fleet rail closed – IRGC-linked exchanges tagged – Crypto becomes the last channel… – …and it’s the most observable.
10. The punchline: a private company is now publishing near-real-time intel on how a sanctioned state moves money within 72 hours of kinetic strikes. The rails are glass. The exits are closing in sequence. And when a country tries to run, the ledger writes the story in public.

Up ~40% today and we are literally just getting started.
6 months of downwards/sideways PA on the hedera-hashgraph:native/BTC pairing erased in a couple of days.
This is what I mean when I keep saying that the expansion move that follows a long, boring, choppy accumulation phase will happen MUCH faster than the prior phase.
It also often comes out of nowhere which is why I emphasize to ACCUMULATE during the boring times when everyone is complaining about the choppy PA so you aren't scrambling to position out of the blue when we get a +40% candle in 24 hours.
Onwards! > 引用 @CredibleCrypto: "Option 2 would be to wait until the HBAR/BTC pairing (2nd chart) hits the range lows (we are ~18% above right now) and then buy at whatever USD price that equates to."
HBAR/BTC has officially hit our range lows. Option 2 is now IN PLAY.
ARE WE READY HBAR-BARIANS?!

Do not overcomplicate HTF positioning. There is still a lot of money to be made on the move towards 126K, as long as you are not an overleveraged gambler. https://t.co/uweINTXSz3 > 引用 @KillaXBT: Word of advice:
When $BTC breaks out of this macro downtrend, whatever you do, don't fade the breakout.
I saw alot of people do the same thing last cycle aswell. Overcomplicating something relatively simple. The best confirmations for trend shifts are always on the weekly. https://t.co/MeQzrT1Bvg https://x.com/KillaXBT/status/2104615175395668464
