ICYMI, @kelpDAO’s dispute with @LayerZero_Core over April’s ~$292M bridge exploit is now heading to court.

For context, Kelp’s bridge relied on a single verifier run by LayerZero, so when attackers compromised the infrastructure feeding it data, there was no second independent check to stop the fake transfer.

LayerZero blamed Kelp’s setup, while Kelp said it had followed LayerZero’s defaults and guidance.

But LayerZero later acknowledged that allowing its verifier to operate alone for high-value transactions was a mistake.

So that’s the backdrop to this lawsuit: compromised infrastructure, disputed security guidance, and a $292M loss.
