Good news Blinks, there’s a new Lisa x PlayStation merch collection on the way – including a limited edition PS5 controller. Bad news Blinks, your wallet is about to get a lot lighter.

Last year, Sony announced the Thai singer had signed on as its global ambassador, but this amounted to very little beyond the odd commercial. (Mostly used in Asia.)

However, now the partnership is about to bear some serious fruit – and the piece de resistance is the new Lalalisa DualSense, mentioned above.

This is all in anticipation of her new EP, Press Play, which is due out on 23rd October. You may have heard her new track Sawadika already.

Lisa helped design the merchandise collection, which focuses on her signature bangs and cat-like eyes.

You’ll find that feature across the touchpad of the PS5 controller, which is presented in a “Chroma Pearl” colourway – according to the PS Blog, Lisa’s favourite.

She said:

“Gaming is something I do whenever I have time to relax, so getting to create this collection with PlayStation was very exciting. I had a lot of fun adding in little details that I knew my fans would notice, and I wanted the fans to have something they can connect with. I’ve always loved expressing myself through music and fashion, so this collaboration gave me a new way to be creative and show a different side of myself. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

The controller will be available on 30th October, with pre-orders going live via PS Direct on 2nd October at 10AM in the US, UK, and Europe for $84.99/£74.99/€84.99.

There’ll also be a ton of items sporting the same design, including t-shirts, hats, tote bags, keychains, stickers, a DualSense controller carrying case, and more.

The PS Blog suggests the merch will only be available in the US, which would be unfortunate if that’s the case. (Although will save me a few pennies, for sure.)

At first glance, I thought the controller design was inspired by Junji Ito’s Tomie, which would be a very different type of collaboration – but it’s growing on me.
