As it stands, the bill would still allow Trump and his family to make a lot of money from crypto and it offers little to no reforms on ethics. So what actually is Pi Network? Let me break it down.
$PI is a crypto project built around a phone app. The idea was to make crypto simple for total beginners. No expensive hardware. No complicated setup. You just open the app once a day and tap a button to earn Pi.
And to be clear, that’s not really mining like Bitcoin. Your phone isn’t solving anything. It’s more of a daily check-in that rewards you for taking part and vouching for other real people.
Its biggest strength is size. $Pi’s got tens of millions of users, all verified as real humans through ID checks, which is rare in crypto. Most projects have the opposite problem. The network went live with its Open Mainnet back in early 2025.
Now they’re building out the actual useful stuff. Developer tools. Payments. Smart contracts in testing. The user base is massive.
