The audit announcement changed everything.
People believed. Attention came. Users came. Resources followed.
Two years later, a smart-contract call was exploited. Half the treasury was drained. Millions in user funds were lost, and the project is now dying.
That experience taught me something: sounding credible is not the same as being trustworthy.
David Riudor puts it better: “if it sounds human, believe it” is dying.
I agree.
That is why @GenLayer makes sense to me.
Instead of one AI or one party deciding the outcome, GenLayer has randomly selected validators independently evaluate it. If they disagree, the decision can escalate to a larger panel before finality.
That becomes more important as AI agents make decisions with real consequences.
An audit made me comfortable. It did not keep my money safe.
