PANews reported on September 30, citing Insurance Journal, that blockchain analytics firm Elliptic disclosed it has tracked more than 50 North Korea-linked security incidents, with roughly $1.2 billion in funds stolen so far this year. Some of the stolen Bitget funds overlap with addresses linked to last year's $1.5 billion Bybit exchange hack, and on-chain money laundering patterns initially indicate that this Bitget incident was carried out by the hacker group TraderTraitor.
