The asset is somewhere. The payment happens somewhere else. Identity is handled by another system. Verification takes time. Settlement comes with friction.
That’s the bigger problem Metta Protocol is looking at.

What I find interesting about @0xhazels is how ownership, creators and access are being connected.
The ecosystem has Pulse for creator campaigns, Drops for stakers, and Hazels RWA linking NFT ownership with physical products and revenue participation.
The bigger idea is simple

Injective is taking another step toward becoming deeper financial infrastructure with the proposed Meridian Mainnet Upgrade, IIP 701.
The governance proposal is now live and puts several major upgrades on the table.
→ Institutional grade RWA issuance
Meridian introduces more infrastructure for bringing real world assets onchain, with a focus on financial applications and larger market participants.
→ Native onchain privacy
Privacy functionality is being introduced in an early alpha stage, giving users more flexibility for private financial activity onchain.
→ Unified RFQ perpetual markets
A new RFQ based approach is designed to support larger trades and improve how perpetual markets operate across Injective.
→ Network and INJ improvements
The upgrade also includes additional infrastructure changes focused on strengthening the broader Injective experience.
The bigger picture is what makes Meridian interesting.
Injective has been building around RWAs, tokenization, native USDC, MultiVM, perpetual markets and institutional infrastructure for some time.
Meridian continues that direction by adding more financial primitives directly at the network level.
And this is not simply a technical upgrade.
It is a governance decision.
INJ stakers can participate in the IIP 701 vote, with approved software upgrades moving into the network implementation process.
Injective governance gives staked INJ holders a direct role in protocol level decisions.
If approved, Meridian would add another layer to Injective’s financial stack across RWA issuance, privacy and RFQ markets.
The bigger question is how these pieces will work together as more financial activity moves onchain.
