Bitcoin life insurer Meanwhile raised $37 million at a $350 million valuation in a funding round led by Bain Capital Crypto. The Bermuda-based company, backed by Sam Altman, is the first life insurance firm licensed to operate entirely in Bitcoin and plans to expand coverage in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Bitcoin life insurance company Meanwhile completed a $37.5 million funding round led by Bain Capital Crypto to expand its BTC-denominated life insurance offerings in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The company will launch its BTC Life 1-Pay product in early 2026, allowing customers to pay premiums in Bitcoin with guaranteed lifetime death benefits, and has partnered with 15 brokers across Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, and Switzerland.
