Aave Labs (@aave) has submitted recommendations to the European Commission as it reviews the EU’s MiCA framework.
The protocol wants regulation to focus on intermediaries rather than open source financial software.
Aave also called for stronger protections for self custody and lending returns under euro stablecoins.
It also wants euro stablecoins to compete globally through more flexible reserve and liquidity requirements.
The company said MiCA was designed for an earlier crypto market dominated by issuers and custodians.
